I was super excited last week when these lovely eyeliners by L’Oreal dropped through my letterbox for me to try the Super Liner Challenge. I’ve used the Super Liner Perfect Slim for months (and loved it) so I couldn’t wait to try the rest of the range.
So, what’s in the box?
Super Liner Black Buster – this is like a felt tip, really easy to use and the best to try if you want a stand-out look
Super Liner Brow Artist – L’Oreal Paris’ first brow product has a brush on the lid, pencil on one side and a wax pencil on the other to keep your brows in place
Super Liner GelMatic – this has a twist up mechanism (no sharpening, yay!) and is described as the perfect liner for beginners
Super Liner Perfect Slim - ideal for a thin graphic line. I love this as it’s easy to use and with such a thin tip allows you to start off small and build up, if you want to of course!
For my challenge, I decided to use the Perfect Slim to create a winged liner look. I’m a winged liner novice so I decided to start off more subtle. This liner lets you get really close to the lash line and is especially good for the thinnest part of the line near the inner eye. I then lined my lower waterline with the GelMatic liner.
For the brow, I lightly filled in the ends of the brows as they are already quite dark so I don’t need much. Usually when I’ve filled in my brows in the past I look like I have major Scouse Brow – it’s not a good look, but this pencil in Brunette was really easy to use and let me put just the right amount on, something I’ve yet to manage with powder-based brow products.
I didn’t use the Black Buster for this look but I’ve been wearing it for a few days and I love it! Easy to use and no smudging. Sometimes when I line my top lid the product transfers to the skin above my eye. Thankfully, each of these eyeliners dry really quickly so that doesn’t happen.
